Happy Hollow accepts VISA, MasterCard and Discover Card at the admission booths, Membership, Picnic Basket, and the Explore and More Store.
Admission:
Admission includes all rides - unlimited, puppet theatre productions, playgrounds, upper and lower Zoo experiences, and scheduled entertainment.
Re-Admittance:
Guests, who wish to leave the park and return the same day, must have their hand stamped prior to exit. To re-enter the guest must show their ticket and hand stamp. Guests may also re-enter the parking lot without charge by showing your parking receipt from the same day.
Hours of Operation:
Happy Hollow is open 363 day a year; closed on Christmas and Thanksgiving Day. THE SCHEDULE BELOW IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE WITHOUT NOTICE. During inclement weather Happy Hollow may close. PLEASE CALL GUEST SERVICES PRIOR TO VISITING TO CONFIRM OPERATION HOURS.

Note: Visit Happy Hollow for less during our Zoo and Playground Days every Monday and Tuesday from October 1 through March 22, 2011. Rides will be closed for servicing. Please call ahead of your visit for more information.

Directions From Highway 280 South
- Take the 10th/11th Street exit.
- Turn right onto 10th Street at the bottom of the off ramp.
- Turn left on Keyes Street.
- Turn right on Senter Road.
- Turn left into the first Kelley Park parking lot.

- After crossing 101, 680 becomes 280 North.
- Take the 10th/11th Streets exit.
- Turn left at the second light onto 10th Street.

Alternative Transportation:
- VTA bus #73 and #25 provide convenient and frequent bus service that stops in front of Kelley Park/Happy Hollow Park & Zoo.
- Light Rail stops at the Tamien Station with frequent VTA bus connections (#82, transfer to #25)
- Bicycle racks are provided FREE of charge at the entrance to Happy Hollow Park & Zoo.
- Cal Train stops at Tamien Cal Train Station with frequent VTA bus connections (#82, transfer to #25).

Guest with Disabilities:
Every restroom, the Explore and More Store, Puppet Castle Theater seating, and the Picnic Basket is wheel chair accessible. For rides, riders must meet all ride requirements, including height, weight, and age requirements as applicable, and be able to maintain a correct riding position for the duration of the ride. Attendants may accompany disabled riders provided they meet all ride requirements. Team members will not be able physically assist any guest on or off a ride; please make ensure another member of your party is available should assistance be need. Service Animals:
Service animals are welcome at Happy Hollow Park & Zoo. The following guidelines will help you enjoy your visit with your service animal.
All Service animals must remain on a leash or harness at all times and you may not leave your service animal unattended. Service animals must remain a reasonable distance from Happy Hollows animals. This is best accomplished by maintaining a minimum of six feet between your service animal and Happy Hollow Zoo animals. You are responsible for controlling your service animal's behavior. If at any time your animal's behavior becomes a threat to the safety or well being of our guests, you will be asked to leave the facility. Remember, you are responsible for cleaning up after your assistance animal. Service animals may ride on Danny the Dragon and Keep Around Carousel.
Dining:
Wide assortments of delicious and healthy choices are available for all ages. Entrees, sandwiches, salads, and desserts are conveniently located in the Picnic Basket Restaurant.
Food & Beverage Policy
The Picnic Basket Restaurant and machine vending is centrally located inside the park. Hard and soft coolers as well as commercially prepared foods may not be brought inside Happy Hollow. For your convenience, picnic areas are available outside the park adjacent to the parking lots. If leaving the park to enjoy your food, please have your hand stamped for re-entry.
Shopping:
The Explore and More Store offers a selection of custom Happy Hollow apparel and hats, puppets, games, snacks, plush toys, and much more.

Guest & Member Services is located just inside the park to the right of the Main Entrance.

Lost and Found
Visit Guest & Member Services inside and just right of the entrance turnstiles to report lost and found items. Happy Hollow Park & Zoo is not responsible for lost, missing or stolen personal property. Send us an email for any Lost and Found inquiries: hhguestservices@sanjoseca.gov
Wheelchair/Stroller Rental:
Wheelchair and stroller rental is located inside and to the left of the entrance turnstiles at the far end of the Explore and More store. Wheel Chairs and strollers are available of a first come / first serve basis and quantities are limited.
Lockers:
Single use lockers are available for a small fee and are conveniently located adjacent to the restrooms at the front of the park and near the Puppet Castle Theater. Please contact Guest Services or Picnic Basket staff for change.
Recreation & Sound Equipment:
Recreation and sound equipment is not permitted within Happy Hollow and may not be stored with park staff. Bike racks are conveniently located outside the turnstiles in the Entry plaza.
Smoking:
Happy Hollow Park and Zoo is a smoke free facility. Please see San Jose City Ordinance 13.44.130 for more details.
Ride Requirements:
Happy Hollow has new rides that will be sure to delight all ages. Please be aware of the height requirements and other restrictions for each ride. In some case an adult will be required to ride with a child that doesn’t meet the minimum height requirements.

Ratings
- 1. Low Thrill Ride - Rides that are generally calm and gentle in nature.
- 2. Mild Thrill Ride - Rides that generally have low speeds with gentle motion and braking. Rides have smooth transitions with some changes in elevation and speed.
Notes
- 1 All unescorted riders must have adequate head and neck control and be able to sit unsupported in an upright position
- 2 Adult Escort must be at least 16 years old and meet required ride restrictions.
